Erik Van Slyke is a change agent, speaker, teacher, researcher, blogger and author of the award-winning Listening to Conflict. With more than two decades as a consultant, executive and educator, Erik advises some of the world’s leading organizations how to create and navigate change, improve human resources operational effectiveness and develop human capital. His blog is read in more than 80 countries around the world, and his articles and quotes on change, conflict resolution and operational strategy have appeared in publications that include The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Fortune, Business Horizons, CIO, and HR Executive.

As an educator, Erik helps leaders and team develop the capability to lead organizational change using action learning, workshops and coaching.  He also has held adjunct faculty roles with Auburn University and Centenary College (NJ) and has taught courses in business strategy, management and entrepreneurship.  In addition, Erik has been a long-time faculty member of the American Management Association where he has created and taught professional development courses in management, conflict resolution and human resource development.

Erik received his MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his BA in psychology from Hobart College.
